My client is looking to hire experienced and commercially aware SharePoint Developer. The key responsibilities of the role will be to develop and support applications within SharePoint based Intranet Portal.
Principal Accountabilities of the role include work with key users to document specific system requirements: Evaluate alternative design concepts and recommend an optimal approach: Develop and test solutions. This will involve configuring commercial products (Microsoft, SharePoint, UGS Teamcenter Community, third party web parts) and developing bespoke software where required. Integrate existing web parts and tools: Work with the IT Server/Network team to specify production hardware and software infrastructure. Work together to deploy solutions: Assist users with second line help desk calls: Execute work in a professional manner. This includes the use of project management methods, writing reports to capture requirements, technical recommendations and designs and good communication skills with customers and the IT team: Willingness to work with 3rd party tools and don’t write/develop if a reasonable tool is in place.
Technical skills in the following areas are required and essential: 2 years experience in Microsoft SharePoint WSS and 1 year experience of development of SharePoint Webparts, knowledge of InfoPath 2003 Forms/MOSS, 3 years exp on C#, VB.Net, SQL Server, ASP.Net, 1 year experience on XML Web Services, working Knowledge of Visual Studio 2005 and Reporting Services.
