Solutions Architect / Web Architect
Permanent, £60K - £90K, Hertfordshire, Ref: JS/ALARCHRETAIL

My client is a leading household name and a award winning major retailer. Due to their success and expansion, they are currently looking for a Solutions Architect / Web Architect to join their dotcom team where you will be responsible for leading a team as well as responsible for the architecture of the company's retail IT systems.

Your role will involve guiding development teams, developing roadmaps, principles and standards, as well as ensuring that company processes and industry best practices are followed. You will also be required to ensure that there is a fluid workflow and that deadlines are met and projects delivered and the ideal candidate will have a track record of working on and delivering enterprise scale projects.

The ideal candidate must have Excellent understanding of Web technologies i.e. HTTP, Databases, programming languages such as C#, ASP.NET or Java, networking. Experience of Web Architecture, Designing, Developing innovative applications and solutions and ideally having worked in an E-commerce arena would be essential. The candidate must have extensive experience of leading Architecture within a large, innovative business and a proven track record of developing people and influencing change.

The suitable candidate MUST have either a 2:1 degree or equivalent or a 2:2 degree from Oxbridge University.

The salaries range from £60k - £90k and offer some fantastic benefits ie: either 80% on top of your salary in company shares, or 50% in company shares and a 20% bonus which can be taken as cash, £7,200 to spend on a company car, 28 days holiday + an extra day at Christmas, 10% contribution to a pension scheme and private healthcare.
