My client is an award winning data driven organisation who specialise in the provision of technical solutions to some of the leading global blue chip organisations, and work on both UK and international government high profile and mission critical projects. Due to expansion and success within their niche market, they are looking to recruit a VB/Visual Basic Developer to help deliver custom software solutions and join a team in delivering and providing cutting edge solutions to meet their clients requirements.
The main responsibilities of the role are to develop custom applications for customers (internal and external), develop the client's future Software products, provide consultancy and technical pre-sales support, provide analysis/design of solutions, provide after-sales support as well as production of specification and release documentation.
The ideal candidate must have experience of developing using MS Visual Basic, experience of SQL Server (or other major RDBMS) and experience of Object Oriented Analysis/Design and programming. Experience with unit testing and Agile methodologies is advantageous, but not essential. Responsibilities for this role will include producing very high quality output to meet the stringent demands of clients, as well as maintaining a keen interest in the evaluation of new development tools and techniques and you will be encouraged to keep learning on the job, and the nature of the business means there will always be interesting projects for you to work on. This is a fantastic opportunity working in a relaxed but technically challenging Agile environment with the opportunity to work on exciting and varied projects.
